Our Founder

Adamma Okonkwo is the CEO and Founder of Diva Dream Life. Diva Dream Life is a relocation consulting firm that specializes in working with women who are ready to reclaim their wholeness and their happiness by moving abroad to Mexico. The company works with women who are expats and those looking to become expats in Mexico.

Ms. Okonkwo believes that all women deserve the right to find their own version of freedom. She strongly advocates that black women in particular need to embrace and cultivate the art of resting, relaxing, rejuvenating, and recovering. She believes that a move abroad can be a powerful pathway towards many black women's quest to achieve self- healing, self-discovery, self-fulfillment, and self-actualization.

Ms. Okonkwo is passionate about women and women's issues. She attended all women's educational institutions for high school and university. She is a proud graduate of Marymount High School Los Angeles. Adamma is also an alum of Mount Saint Mary's University. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a minor in English Literature.

Before starting Diva Dream Life, she worked primarily in the government and non-profit sectors as a marketing communications and fundraising consultant. Some of the organizations she has worked with include AIDS Project Los Angeles, The Magic Johnson Foundation, The Los Angeles Department of Public Works, SD&A Teleservices, Grassroots Canvassing, Co-Abode, South Central Los Angeles Ministry Project, and The Downtown Women's Center.

Ms. Okonkwo is married. She and her husband of 20 years are animal lovers. They support numerous animal rights and animal activist groups. During their marriage they have fostered over 50 cats and have raised 8 cats of their own. She and her husband share their home in Cancun, Mexico with their four cats.
